I really like how the journalling turned out.

For week 3, I did 2 layouts, here is the first one.

Project 52 - Week 2

So, here we are January 15, 2011!  It is officially freezing outside!  It is -22 degrees Celcius out right now.  That isn't too bad, but there is a nasty biting wind out there!
I had to go out and check the cows, to make sure they had enough feed until tomorrow.  So while I was out there, I took some pictures!

I thought this was a neat picture with all of the snow in the trees, and the cows in front.

This calf looked cute with the frost all over her face except for around her eyes and nose!

Snowy cows!

I was trying to take more pictures as well, had my camera set onto a beautiful Chickadee in a tree, when low and behold........dead batteries!  I guess that means it is time to come in from outside and get warm!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Winter in Alberta

Winter in Alberta!
We have had so much snow this weekend!  Eric was busy yesterday plowing snow in our yard!  He was out there for over 6 hours!

This is Eric pushing snow in our yard!
The Meteorologist on the News tonight stated that there has only been 3 times in the last 50 years where there has been so much snow from one storm.  The worst year was 1989!

They say that if you don't like the weather in Alberta, wait 5 minutes, but that isn't working right now!
It is supposed to by -40 by this weekend!

Keep warm and cozy this week!

Project 52

So I have been reading alot about Project 365 lately, and really wanted to partake, but already 8 days into the New Year, and I am having trouble taking a picture everyday!  But I have take a few pictures already this year!
So I am going to "tweek" the Project 365 idea, and make it "Project 52"!
I will take pictures weekly, and make an album out of the pictures I have taken!  I will share the pictures on my blog, so you can see what is happening in our lives!
This picture is one I took on New Years day, Eric and I took a quad ride around the farm, and I thougt this was a neat picture, with the sun behind the spruce tree.

This picture I took just the other day, I got a new camer for Christmas!  I love it!

I think I will have lots of fun with this project!  I am excited for starting  an album as well!  Taking pictures and scrapbooking.............2 of my favourite things!

Have a wonderful day!

I included Grandma's recipe for gingerbread.

We had so much fun making these houses!

I used my Cricut machine to cut out the gingerbread people and the house.

Some Scrapbook Pages

This is a layout I did a few years ago about a trip Eric and I went on to Jasper for Easter.

Here is a layout of my Grandma and I. This is a very special page to me.

This layout I did 2 years ago. The day was beautiful for a quad ride! It was October 2, 2008. It was 26 degrees Celcius out!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to my new blog!

My name is Tracy and I would love to tell you a little bit about myself.

I am a LPN, and I work in long term care - which is one of my many passions.

I live on a farm with the love of my life - Eric.  We have been together for 13 fabulous years!

I have an addiction (the first step is to admit your addiction - right?)  My addiction is scrapbooking.  I love to scrapbook.  I love to create works of art from photos, paper, ribbon and anything else I can get my hands on!

I love to garden.  I love to plant tiny little seeds of any kind, and watch them grow up to be beautiful flowers or delicious fruits and veggies!

I love to cook and bake.  I love to bake for my family.  I love trying new things as well.  This year, one of my many goals is to bake bread.  Right now, I am not a good bread baker.

I will try to keep up with my blog on a regular basis.  I want to share with you pictures that I have taken, new layouts and new recipes and much more!

Happy New Year!  I wish you much happiness and health for this year!  Have a wonderful day!
